Quote and bind new commercial business through several top-rated insurance companies. Provide customer service to agencies as well as insurance companies. Travel to both agencies and companies’ multiple times throughout the year.

Job Responsibilities:

n

- Create and maintain company and agency relationships
n
- Achieve written premium and income goals set by management on a quarterly basis
n
- Comprehend and maintain underwriting manuals for all companies represented
n
- Travel as deemed necessary by the management, to both agencies & company conventions
n
- Comfortable discussing team goals and actively participating in achieving these goals
n
- Adhere to company-wide minimum service standards
n
- Knowledge of the independent agency system and economics - assess the capacity of market, territory and individual agencies to identify and act on growth opportunities.
n
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners.
n
- Demonstrate accountability for the assigned territory by being innovative and identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement in results.
n
- Must be cutting-edge and creative
n
- Pursue education to enhance industry knowledge
n
- Other duties as assigned
n

Education and Work Experience:

n

n
- 3-5 years-experience in a Property & Casualty workspace with an Insurance Broker, Carrier, Managing General Agent or a Retail Property & Casualty Insurance Agency and/or an Insurance Degree from an accredited college specific to a focus on the insurance/financial business sector (i.e. RMI Degree).
n

- Strong knowledge of the Property-Casualty Industry.

- Knowledge of Commercial Lines Products - ability to differentiate J&J; products/services from competitors.
