About the role n
Are you an experienced insurance professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, finding solutions and making insurance easier for customers?
n
Rapid Solutions is looking for an Insurance Broker to join our team and manage, grow and develop a portfolio of clients across general insurance in a niche industry sector spanning all States and Territories in Australia.
n
You'll work closely with clients to understand risks, arrange appropriate cover and deliver a high level of service throughout the life of each policy.
What you'll be doing n
n
- Manage a portfolio of current and existing clients, including quotes, renewals, claims and policy changes
n
- Identify client needs and risk exposures and recommend appropriate insurance solutions
n
- Prepare and present quotes, proposals and renewal documentation
n
- Negotiate appropriate terms and pricing
n
- Build strong client, insurer and referrer relationships
n
- Use consultative sales techniques to convert leads and identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities
n
- Proactively manage renewals and client retention
n
- Support clients through the claims process and advocate on their behalf
n
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation in line with regulatory and compliance requirements
n
- Work collaboratively with internal teams
n
About you n
We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, client-focused and confident navigating the general insurance environment.
n
You'll bring:
n
n
- Demonstrated experience of 5 or more years in general insurance brokerage
n
- A Tier 1 General Insurance qualification (RG 146 compliant) and eligibility to be appointed as an Authorised Representative
n
- Strong knowledge of general insurance products, policy wordings and underwriting principles
n
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
n
- Strong organisation and time management skills
n
- Confidence managing a portfolio and working to deadlines
n
- Intermediate Microsoft Office and insurance/broking systems experience
n

- A strong track record across sales, conversion and retention
n
- Strong questioning and fact-finding skills to uncover client needs
n
- Experience supporting clients through the claims process
