Our client, Layright Bricklaying Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Bricklayer to join their team. n
n
nRoles and Responsibilities: n
n• Interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications in line with project requirements n
n• Complying with site safety procedures, occupational health and safety standards, and correct use of PPE n
n• Assembling and dismantling restricted height scaffolding to safely access elevated work areas n
n• Assessing work areas and calculating material quantities to ensure accurate application n
n• Selecting and operating appropriate tools, equipment, and machinery for masonry tasks n
n• Applying damp proofing materials and preparing mortar for brickwork and blockwork n
n• Setting out work using string lines, laser levels, dumpy levels, and plumb lines to ensure precise alignment n
n• Laying bricks and blocks in various patterns with even mortar joints and a clean finish n
n• Cutting, shaping, and adjusting bricks, blocks, and stone using hand tools and power machinery n
n• Constructing walls using stone slabs,



large masonry blocks, and segmental paving systems n
n• Inspecting completed work to confirm accuracy, alignment, and quality standards n
n• Carrying out repair, maintenance, and restoration of brickwork, blockwork, and masonry structures n
n• Managing materials and liaising with clients to provide job assessments, cost estimates, and quotations. n
n
nQualifications and other requirements: n
n• Certificate III or equivalent qualification in bricklaying. n
n• Recent 1 year of full-time relevant experience working as a bricklayer in last five years. n
n• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and construction standards. n
n• Valuable physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions. n
n• Ability to lead and work effectively as part of team. n
n• Ability to work independently and without supervision. n
n• Ability work with flexible hours including weekends. n
n
nSalary range: $75,000 – $85,000
