About the Role n

Cairns Early Learning in Paramatta Park, QLD, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Second Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our vibrant and nurturing team.

n

As our Second ECT, you will work alongside our Early Childhood Teachers and Educators to support the delivery of a high-quality early learning program. You will play an important role in supporting children’s learning, development, wellbeing and individual needs while contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment.

n

This is a part-time position , with flexible working arrangements available.

What You’ll Be Doing n

n
- Supporting the planning, implementation and evaluation of engaging educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
n
- Working collaboratively with the Lead ECT and educator team to provide high-quality early learning experiences
n
- Creating a safe, secure, inclusive and stimulating environment where children feel valued and supported
n
- Building strong, respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues
n
- Observing, documenting and contributing to children’s learning and development
n
- Supporting children’s individual learning needs, interests and strengths
n
- Maintaining active supervision and ensuring children’s health, safety and wellbeing are prioritised at all times
n
- Contributing to compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, National Quality Standards and centre policies and procedures
n




- Participating in team meetings, professional development and ongoing quality improvement
n
- Working positively and collaboratively as part of our team
n

What We’re Looking For nn
- A Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood/Early Years 0–5) or equivalent recognised qualification, or be currently working towards the qualification
n
- Experience working in an early childhood education and care environment
n
- Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
n
- A strong understanding of play-based learning and child development
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
n
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing
n
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a collaborative team setting
n
- A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) at the time of application
n
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency
n

Current First Aid and CPR

n

Bachelor or Masters of Teaching (Early Childhood) or working towards.

n

Knowledge of NQS and EYLF/QKLG.
