Job Description
Verra Mobility is a global road safety technology business partnering with governments, enforcement agencies and municipalities across Asia Pacific, Europe and the United States.
n
We deliver technology-enabled road safety programs, including red-light, speed, school zone and school bus stop-arm camera solutions. Our work helps influence the everyday choices drivers make, so fewer people are hurt on our roads, and more families see their loved ones come home safely.
n
We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to help drive AI-enabled product delivery across our road safety technology portfolio.
n
This is a hands-on role at the intersection of product, engineering, customers and AI-enabled workflows. Using tools such as Atlas Cloud, Jira, Confluence, Claude Code, Microsoft 365, Power Automate and MCP-enabled workflows, you will turn complex information into clear requirements, delivery priorities and product decisions.
n
You do not need to be a software engineer, but you must be technically literate, confident working with engineering teams and comfortable challenging decisions where design, quality or customer outcomes are at risk.
n
This is a permanent, full-time hybrid role, working from home and our head office in South Melbourne.
n
What you will do
n
n
- Own product outcomes across one or more customer-facing programs.
n
- Translate customer, operational and technical needs into clear PRDs, Jira backlog items and decision records.
n
- Use AI-enabled workflows for requirements synthesis, document analysis,
status reporting and specification development.
n
- Work with engineering teams on architecture, integration, security, compliance and delivery decisions.
n
- Maintain visibility across scope, risks, dependencies, quality and outcome drift across customer programs.
n
- Prepare clear executive, customer-facing and technical documentation.
n
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual work through better process design and AI-enabled workflows.
n
n
What you will bring
n
n
- Experience in technical product management, product ownership, senior business analysis or technology delivery.
n
- Strong technical literacy across architecture diagrams, API specifications, compliance frameworks and vendor proposals.
n
- Confidence working with engineering teams on software, data, integration, security and delivery decisions.
n
- Familiarity with AI workflows, command-line tools or platforms such as Atlas Cloud, Claude Code, Power Automate or MCP-enabled tools.
n
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence and Microsoft 365.
n
- Strong written communication across PRDs, requirements, executive updates and decision records.
n
- Ability to apply constraint-led prioritisation,
turning ambiguity into transparent priorities, actions and outcomes.
n
- An ownership mindset, with the judgement to challenge constructively, close decision gaps and follow issues through.
n
- Customer-facing experience in enterprise, government, regulated industry, road safety, SaaS or systems integration environments would be highly regarded.
n
n
Who are you?
n
You are a technically curious product professional with a bachelor’s degree in product, technology, business, systems, data, engineering or a related discipline, and 5+ years’ experience across technical product management, product ownership, senior business analysis, technology delivery or a related role.
n
Software engineering experience is not required, but strong technical literacy is essential.
n
Why work with us?
n
Join a global road safety technology business working on solutions that help make roads safer and communities better protected. You will be part of a practical AI-enabled product model, with real scope to shape how technical product work is documented, prioritised and delivered.
n
We value the unique backgrounds, experiences and contributions that each person brings to our community and encourage and celebrate diversity. First Nations people, those identifying as LGBTQIA+, females, people of all ages, people with disabilities and culturally and linguistically diverse people are encouraged to apply. Our aim is to create a workforce that reflects the community in which we live.
