Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Electronics Soldering Technician to join our production team. This is a hands-on role focused on high-quality soldering, electronic assembly, rework and inspection of PCBAs and electronic products.

The successful candidate will have strong practical soldering skills and hold current IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 certifications.

n

No university or formal degree qualification is required for this position. We are looking for someone with the right practical skills, attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Perform through-hole and SMT soldering to IPC standards.
n
- Assemble and solder electronic components onto PCBAs.
n
- Perform component replacement, modification and PCB rework/repair.
n
- Inspect solder joints and assemblies in accordance with IPC-A-610 requirements.
n
- Work to IPC J-STD-001 soldering requirements and applicable workmanship standards.
n
- Perform wiring, cable assembly, termination and related electronic assembly work.
n
- Identify soldering and assembly defects and carry out appropriate corrective action.
n
- Use microscopes and other inspection equipment where required.
n
- Follow manufacturing drawings, work instructions, BOMs and engineering documentation.
n
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
n
- Work closely with Production Engineering and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
n
- Maintain a clean, organised and ESD-controlled work environment.
n




- Follow all company quality, safety and production procedures.

About You n

We are looking for someone who:

- Holds current IPC J-STD-001 certification.
n
- Holds current IPC-A-610 certification.
n
- Has experience working with PCBAs and electronic components.
n
- Has excellent attention to detail and a strong quality mindset.
n
- Can identify poor solder joints, component issues and workmanship defects.
n
- Can read and follow drawings, BOMs and work instructions.
n
- Is comfortable working under production deadlines without compromising quality.
n
- Has good communication skills and works well within a multidisciplinary team.
n
- Takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality workmanship.
n

Required Qualifications: nn
- IPC J-STD-001 certification

- IPC-A-610 certification
n
- Demonstrated practical electronics soldering experience
n

Relevant hands-on experience, industry training and demonstrated soldering capability will be highly valued.
