An outstanding opportunity has become available for an experienced External Audit Manager to join the Brisbane team of a highly regarded accounting and advisory firm.

n

This is more than simply another Audit Manager position. The firm is looking for someone who can become an important part of the future leadership team, with a genuine opportunity to progress towards Director and Partner level.

n

You’ll join an established Brisbane practice with a close-knit team and direct access to Partners, while also benefiting from the resources and opportunities of a major international accounting network.

The Brisbane office is based in the CBD and operates across Audit & Assurance, Business Advisory, Corporate Advisory & Tax.

The Role n

You’ll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of external audit engagements while leading and developing a team.

n

Responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Managing external audit engagements from planning through to completion
n
- Managing a varied portfolio of clients across multiple industries
n
- Building strong, long-term relationships with key clients
n
- Reviewing audit files and ensuring high technical standards
n
- Managing engagement budgets, workflow and deadlines
n
- Coaching, mentoring and developing junior and senior audit staff
n
- Working closely with Partners on complex engagements
n
- Identifying opportunities to strengthen and grow client relationships
n
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the Audit division
n
- Progressively taking on greater leadership and commercial responsibility
n

About You n

We’re looking for someone with:

n

n
- Strong Australian External Audit experience
n




- Previous experience at Manager level, or an experienced Assistant Manager ready to step up
n
- CA or CPA qualification
n
- Strong technical audit and financial reporting knowledge
n
- Experience managing multiple engagements and deadlines
n
- Confidence dealing directly with senior clients
n
- Strong people leadership and mentoring capability
n
- Commercial awareness and an interest in developing client relationships
n
- The ambition to continue progressing towards senior leadership and potentially Partnership
n
