About the role n

Whilst the Star Drilling is based in Thomastown , this role will work in Orange NSW with a very small amount of time working across a diverse range of geotechnical and environmental drilling projects throughout Victoria and interstate.

n

Star Drilling operates a fleet of 18 drilling rigs ,



ranging from large sonic rigs through to smaller Geoprobes.

n

Our work gives experienced drillers the opportunity to use and develop their skills across a range of drilling methods, including:

- Sonic drilling
n
- Auger drilling
n
- Rotary air
n
- Rotary Mud
n

n

This is not a full-time FIFO position.

About you n

We’re looking for an experienced driller who takes pride in doing the job properly, works well with their crew and wants to be part of a professional drilling business.

n

Ideally, you will have:

n

n
- 3+ years' above-ground geotechnical and/or environmental drilling experience
n
- A minimum MR licence , with an HR manual licence strongly preferred
n
- Construction Industry Induction Card
n
- Driller's or Water Well Licence preferred, or willingness to obtain one
n
- Rail Industry Worker Card preferred
n
- Good mechanical aptitude and the ability to undertake basic preventative maintenance and servicing
n
- A strong commitment to safety and safe drilling practices
n
- The physical fitness required for drilling operations
n
- A positive, practical and proactive approach
n
- Flexibility to undertake regular overtime and some weekend work
n
- Flexibility to work interstate approximately 50% of the time
n
- Australian working rights
n
