As the Veteran and Family Wellbeing Centre Manager , you’ll lead the Centre’s daily operations and ensure veterans, their families and the wider Defence community receive coordinated, high-quality support.
n Reporting to the Head of VFWC Operations, you’ll lead the local team and work closely with internal teams, service providers and community partners.

What you’ll do: n

- Lead and develop the Centre team
n
- Oversee daily operations, facilities and service delivery
n
- Coordinate client enquiries, support requests and referrals
n
- Connect clients with wellbeing, employment, accommodation and advocacy services
n
- Build solid relationships with ex-service organisations, government agencies and community partners
n
- Drive continuous improvement and client-centred practices
n
- Manage operational risks, compliance and reporting requirements
n

About you: n

You’re an experienced, approachable leader who can balance operational priorities with empathy and care. You build trusted relationships, communicate confidently and create a positive environment where your team can deliver meaningful outcomes.

Skills and experience: n

n
- Five or more years’ experience leading teams and managing service delivery
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
n
- Experience managing competing priorities in a complex environment
n
- Demonstrated operational, project and problem-solving capability
n
- Strong written, verbal and reporting skills
n
- Experience in community services, customer-focused support or centre management is highly regarded
n
- Current open Australian driver licence
n
- Blue Card, or the ability to obtain one
n
- An understanding of the Defence and veteran community is desirable
n
