Sunshine Coast Grammar School is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Primary French Teacher to join our vibrant learning community in 2027.

n

This is a 0.4 FTE contract position , teaching French to students in Years 4-6 , working Monday to Wednesday from 11:00am - 3:05pm .

n

The successful applicant will play an key role in fostering students' language development and intercultural understanding while working collaboratively with the School's Languages team.

About the Role n

n
- Deliver engaging and age-appropriate French language lessons to students in Years 4-6.
n
- Develop students' understanding of French language and culture.
n
- Plan, assess and report on student learning in accordance with the Australian Curriculum.
n
- Work collaboratively with the Head of French to support a coherent Prep-12 French program.
n
- Create positive and inclusive learning environments that promote student engagement and success.
n
- Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues.
n
- Participate in professional learning and contribute to the broader life of the School.

About You nn




- The successful applicant will demonstrate:
n
- A passion for teaching French language and culture.
n
- Experience teaching French in a Primary School setting.
n
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.
n
- A commitment to evidence-informed teaching and student-centred learning.
n
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider Languages team.
n
- Current Queensland teacher registration (or eligibility for registration).
n
