We are seeking an experienced and reliable Benchman to join our sawmill team in Dingo, Central Queensland.

The successful applicant will be involved in the day-to-day operation of our grey bench.
Key responsibilities n
n
- Operating the grey bench
n
- Assessing timber and making cutting decisions to maximise timber recovery and product quality
n
- Setting and adjusting machinery to produce required timber sizes
n
- Monitoring timber quality and identifying defects
n
- Working efficiently to meet daily production requirements
n
- Carrying out routine machinery checks and basic maintenance
n
- Working closely with other sawmill and production staff
n
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
n
About you nn
- Has previous sawmill experience as a benchman, a good understanding of timber processing, timber sizes and cutting requirements
n
- Is reliable, punctual and willing to work both independently and as part of a team
n
- Has a strong commitment to workplace safety
n
- Willing to work overtime when required
n
