AEC + Specialty Care Moorabbin is excited to be launching our Internal Medicine Specialist Department, and we’re looking for passionate, skilled veterinary nurses to help bring it to life.

The Role

n

As an Internal Medicine Veterinary Nurse , you’ll work closely with our Internal Medicine Specialist and wider hospital team to deliver high-level care to complex medical patients.

n

Your role will include:

n

- Providing exceptional nursing care to hospitalised medical patients.
n
- Assisting with advanced diagnostics including blood collection, imaging (CT, x-ray, ultrasound), endoscopy support, and procedures.
n
- Monitoring and managing anaesthesia for patients with complex medical conditions.
n
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting smooth daily workflow.
n
- Contributing to the development of protocols and workflows as the department launches.
n
- Working collaboratively with ECC and surgery departments.
n

About You

n

We’re looking for a nurse who is curious, detail-oriented, and excited by medicine:

n

n
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent).
n
- Experience in internal medicine or referral practice.
n
- A strong interest in medical nursing and a desire to deepen your skills.
n
- Calm, organised, and attentive to detail.
n
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine team-player mindset.
n
- Compassionate approach to patients, clients, and colleagues.
n
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced referral environment.
n
