Position: Senior Town Planner
n Location: Remote
n Job Type: Full Time | 38 hours/week
n Salary Range: 95K to 110K AUD
Responsibilities:

n
n

An opportunity exists for a motivated Senior Town Planner who is seeking a varied role at Local Approvals. The Local Approvals team is seeking a Senior Town Planner with at least 5 years of experience in the assessment of development applications of varying complexity and typology and preferably with experience dealing directly with clients.

You will be required to:

n
n

n
- assess and determine development and modification applications in a timely manner
n
n
- to provide advice on planning matters, for both telephone and email inquiries
n
n
- assessment of linen plans for subdivisions to ensure legislative requirements have been met
n
n
- Prepare and lodge Development applications to the council for proposed development
n
n
- Prepare a statement of environmental effects to accompany the development application to the council
n
n
- Assist in meeting Development Services and Administration section’s performance targets.
n
n
- Efficient and timely preparation of development applications
n
n




- Provide input into the development of Council's policies and objectives relating to improvement of the built workplace
n
n
- Ensure that clients and stakeholders are provided with the highest level of service to ensure that planning outcomes are acceptable to all involved in the assessment process
n
n

Qualifications and experience

n
n

n
n
- A Bachelor or higher degree in Town Planning
n
n
- At least five years relevant experience, especially involving the assessment of development applications
n
n
- Experience working with other disciplines and coordinating input from various professionals
n
n
- Experience in setting short term and long term objectives with follow-up performance monitoring
n
n
- Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations including, working knowledge of appropriate sections of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and the Local Government Act 1993
n
n
- Computer literate
n
n
- Demonstrated superior communication skills and commitment to customer service
n
n
- Ability to work within a team environment
n
n
- Availability to work flexible working hours
n
n
