We're seeking a motivated Medical Receptionist for 36 hours per week who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys being part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team. Flexibility is essential, as the role includes weekend and night shifts.

Key responsibilities n

n
- Welcoming patients and visitors warmly, in person and by phone, and making them feel at ease
n
- Managing appointment bookings, recalls and reminders for our doctors and allied health team
n
- Checking patients in and out, and maintaining accurate patient records in our practice software
n
- Handling billing, payments, Medicare claiming and account enquiries
n
- Responding to patient enquiries and directing urgent or clinical matters to the right team member promptly
n
- Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality in line with practice policies and privacy legislation
n
- Keeping the front desk and waiting area tidy,



welcoming and well organised

- Supporting the wider team with general administrative duties as needed
n

About you nn
- Previous general practice medical reception experience (preferred)
n
- Strong communication and organisational skills
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical software
n
- A genuine commitment to patient safety and quality care
n
- A professional standard of personal presentation
n
- The ability to work well in a team and independently
n
- Flexibility for weekend and night shifts
n
