Synergie Australia is partnering with a well-established and growing business to recruit an experienced Accountant for their Brisbane team. This is a broad, hands‑on accounting position offering exposure across financial reporting, payroll, compliance, management reporting and business operations.

Please note: Cantonese language skills are a non-negotiable requirement for this role. Candidates must be able to communicate professionally in both English and Cantonese.

nWhat you will be required to do n
n

- Manage month‑end and year‑end financial reporting processes
n
n
- Prepare management reports and variance analysis
n
n
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions
n
n
- Manage payroll activities including onboarding, terminations and timesheet processing
n
n
- Prepare and coordinate BAS, GST, PAYG, Payroll Tax and other statutory reporting requirements
n
n
- Monitor intercompany transactions and reconciliations
n
n
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and financial analysis
n
n
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
n
n
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies
n
n
- Develop and improve accounting policies,



procedures and internal controls
n
n
- Support broader business improvement and finance projects
n
n

n
nTo be successful in the role you will n
n

n
n
- Hold tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
n
n
- Have previous experience working in an Accountant position
n
n
- Demonstrate strong financial and management accounting capability
n
n
- Possess sound knowledge of GST, BAS, PAYG and statutory compliance requirements
n
n
- Have advanced Microsoft Excel skills
n
n
- Be confident working across multiple priorities and stakeholders
n
n
- Have strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
n
n
- Experience with Dynamics 365 will be highly regarded
n
n
- FMCG, wholesale, distribution or import/export industry experience will be advantageous
n
n
- Be fluent in Cantonese and English (essential and non‑negotiable)
n
n
- Mandarin language skills will be highly regarded
n
n
