Employment: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm
Pay: $40 per hour

An established Australian-owned business specialising in lifting, rigging and height safety equipment is seeking a Workshop Technician to join its Wacol team.

n

This is a hands-on, workshop-based role involving the inspection, testing, assembly, maintenance and repair of lifting, rigging and height safety equipment.

n

You’ll work with a range of industrial equipment while developing your technical knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, testing requirements and industry practices.

n

This is an excellent opportunity for someone from an industrial, trades, mechanical, technical or warehouse environment who enjoys practical, hands-on work and wants to build a long-term career in a specialised industry, with the potential to progress into a supervisory role.

About the Role Workshop Responsibilities n

- Inspect, test, assemble and repair lifting and height safety equipment
n
- Assemble wire rope and chain slings and conduct load testing
n




- Work to relevant Australian Standards and company procedures
n
- Load/unload equipment and operate workshop tools and forklifts
n
- Complete accurate testing, inspection and job documentation
n
- Pack and dispatch orders
n
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop
n
- Attend toolbox meetings and product training
n

Experience required nn
- Experience working in a technical, industrial, trades or workshop environment
n
- A practical and mechanical aptitude
n
- Some exposure to inspection, testing or quality processes
n
- An understanding of the importance of working to procedures and standards
n
- Solid attention to detail and accurate paperwork/documentation skills
n
- White Card
n
- Ability and willingness to obtain additional industry qualifications and certifications
n
- A LEEA qualification or relevant lifting/rigging experience would be highly regarded.
