Underground Deputies | Whynot Bord & Pillar Mine n

The Maxwell Underground Mine , owned by Malabar Resources Ltd has commenced operations at their Hunter Valley site, with production projected of up to 8 million tonnes of coal per annum. With a long life, the underground mine targets high-quality coal, with the majority being metallurgical coal.

ABOUT THE ROLE n

We currently have a number of opportunities to join our Team as a Deputy in our Whynot Bord & Pillar Operation . If successful in this role, you will collaborate with a dynamic team, demonstrating strong leadership to promote a robust safety culture while maintaining a strong focus on continuous improvement, problem-solving, and upholding high standards. Your responsibilities would include:

- Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
n
- Driving, and delivering, production targets.
n
- Supervise execution of maintenance schedules in compliance with statutory and site regulations.
n




- Conducting statutory and compliance inspections as required by legislation.
n
- Emphasizing waste reduction and cost-saving initiatives.
n
- Deliver effective communication to workers
n

ABOUT YOU n

To be successful in this role you will:

n

n
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Underground Coal Mining.
n
- NSW Practicing Certificate to perform the role of Deputy, Undermanager or Manager of Underground Coal Mines.
n
- Demonstrated ability to meet production targets.
n
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and strong communication skills.
n
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
n
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills
n
- Demonstrated ability in hazard awareness and identification, and incident management
n
- Cert IV in Workplace Training and Assessment would be advantageous.
n
