ABOUT THE COMPANY
n Our client is a well-established Australian group operating across multiple entities and locations nationally. With a head office in Mascot and a close-knit finance team, they're looking for a Financial Accountant to join them on a 12 month fixed term contract, with genuine potential for the role to go permanent.

ABOUT THE ROLE
n Reporting into the CFO, you'll be responsible for core financial accounting across several group entities. This is a busy, hands-on role where technical accuracy and good judgement matter.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

You will manage month-end close across multiple entities, including journals, accruals and prepayments.

n

You will prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, keeping the general ledger clean and fully supported.

n

You will manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations across the group.

n

You will prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis for the Financial Controller.

n





You will prepare BAS and support other tax compliance requirements.

n

You will support the preparation of statutory financial statements and the year-end audit process.

n

You will help maintain strong financial controls and drive process improvements across the finance function.

n

You will assist with budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc analysis as needed.

ABOUT YOU
n To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

CA or CPA qualified

n

Solid financial accounting experience

n

Robust month-end, reconciliation and intercompany experience.

n

Advanced Excel skills

n

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.

n

Clear, professional communication skills and a proactive, team-first attitude.

n

WORK ARRANGEMENT
n This role is based onsite in Mascot, 5 days a week.
