n
Elexia Communications | The Voice in Energy
n
Want to get closer to where the decisions are actually made?
n
Elexia is looking for a sharp, commercially minded communications and corporate affairs professional to join our growing team in Melbourne.
n
This is a little different from a standard agency role.
n
You'll join Elexia and spend your first 12 months embedded with one of our major clients, working closely with senior leadership across communications, corporate affairs, government relations and executive priorities.
n
Think part communications adviser, part corporate affairs operator and part chief-of-staff support.
n
You'll be close to the action.
n
What you'll do
n
n
- Support senior executives on communications, corporate affairs and government-facing priorities
n
- Draft briefings, correspondence, speeches, presentations and executive materials
n
- Help manage complex internal and external stakeholder issues
n
- Coordinate priorities across communications, government relations, corporate affairs and the broader business
n
- Support major announcements, issues and media activity
n
- Turn complicated information into clear, sharp advice
n
- Keep important work moving across multiple teams and senior stakeholders
n
- Identify issues early and help work out what needs to happen next
n
- Work closely with the wider Elexia team on strategic communications and reputation matters
n
n
Who we're looking for
n
You might currently work in corporate affairs,
communications, government, public affairs, a ministerial office, consultancy or a large organisation.
n
What matters most is that you can think.
n
You're organised, politically and commercially aware, an excellent writer and comfortable dealing with senior people.
n
You know when something matters, when something doesn't and when someone needs to make a decision.
n
You'll ideally bring:
n
n
- Around 4-7 years' relevant experience
n
- Excellent writing and briefing skills
n
- Strong judgement and discretion
n
- Confidence working with senior executives and stakeholders
n
- An understanding of government, media or corporate decision-making
n
- The ability to manage multiple priorities without losing the detail
n
n
Experience in energy, infrastructure or another regulated sector would be useful, but it isn't essential.
n
Why Elexia
n
Elexia is one of Australia's fastest-growing specialist communications and reputation advisory firms.
n
We work with major companies and projects across energy and infrastructure on high-profile campaigns, complex issues, media, government and reputation.
n
We're an ambitious team doing serious work.
n
This role gives you something unusual: a year working inside a major organisation, close to senior decision-makers, while remaining part of a growing specialist advisory firm.
n
You'll build experience on both sides of the table - and have the prospect to grow with Elexia as we continue to expand.
