YEM Technology is looking for experienced Painters and Blasters to join our team at the Sino Iron Project on an ongoing 2:1 FIFO roster ex Perth.

YEM Technology is a Western Australian maintenance, commissioning, construction and electrical company specialising in fixed plant maintenance, shutdown maintenance, greenfield and brownfield SMPE&I; construction services across the mining and mineral processing sectors.

About the Role n

This is a permanent and casual opportunity based at Cape Preston, WA, working a 2:1 roster (one week days, one week nights, one week off). Shifts are 12 hours, including a 30-minute paid lunch break.

What You Will Be Doing n

n
- Abrasive blasting and surface preparation to specification
n




- Selecting, mixing and applying protective coatings and industrial paint systems
n
- Reading and following paint specs, technical data sheets and mixing procedures
n
- Setting up, cleaning and maintaining spray and blasting equipment
n
- Working at heights and in confined spaces as required
n
- Comply with safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment
n

What We're Looking For nn
- Australian recognised Trade Certificate in Painting and Decorating (Cert III) or equivalent trade certification
n
- Demonstrated industrial or mining painting and blasting experience
n
- High Risk Work Licence (EWP/WP + LF)
n
- Working at Heights, Confined Spaces and Gas Test Atmospheres certificates
n
- Construction "White" Card
n
- Full Australian Working Rights
n
- Valid driver's licence
n
- Comfortable wearing a 3M 7500 mask while working, clean-shaven
n

What We Offer nn
- FULL TIME : $51.15 ph
n
- CASUAL: $63.94 ph
n
- NIGHT SHIFT ALLOWANCE: $7.67 ph
n
- Site allowance paid in addition to hourly wages
