Who are we looking for?

n

We’re looking for a skilled Surface Water Engineer with a strong working knowledge of GoldSim and a passion for water resources to join our NSW/ACT team in Sydney, Canberra, Newcastle, Wollongong or any of our regional NSW offices.

n

You will collaborate with specialists across water, dams, tailings, mining, environmental and digital disciplines and make an impact on complex Mine Water Management and Water Balance Modelling projects across Australia.

n

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

n

n
- Developing and applying GoldSim water balance models for mine water management studies, operational assessments and strategic water planning.
n
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams across mining, dams, tailings, hydrology and environmental services, analysing complex water systems and evaluating risks
n
- Delivering on multidisciplinary projects and tasks,



maintaining strong client relationships, coordinating with stakeholders to deliver project outcomes
n
- Contributing to proposals, business development activities and the continued growth of GHD's surface water capability.
n
- Conducting technical reviews and mentoring junior staff, providing guidance and feedback to help them develop their skills
n

What you will bring to the team

n

n
- Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or a related discipline.
n
- Between 5 &12 years of experience in a similar role in a consulting environment.
n
- Experience in surface water engineering, mine water management or water resources consulting.
n
- Solid working knowledge of GoldSim, including development and application of water balance models.
n
- Understanding of mine water management practices, regulatory requirements and industry standards.
n
- Strong client relationship skills and project management skills in water resources projects
n
