An excellent opportunity exists for suitably qualified and experienced individuals to join the Rex Engineering team as a full-time B1.1 or B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME), for its’ Sydney base.

This position reports to the Line Maintenance Supervisor.
Position Responsibilities:n
n
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on Regional Express Group aircraft and aircraft components within a maintenance team.
n
- Ensure all maintenance and repairs are carried out to a high standard, ensuring integrity and robustness of aircraft to meet operational requirements.
n
- Service and clean hangar, tools and ground equipment.
n
- Participate in aircraft recovery when necessary.
n
- Observe all standards and procedures contained within Civil Aviation Safety Authority regulations, as well as individual aircraft systems maintenance.
n
Essential Selection Criteria:nn
- B1.1 or B2 Type rated CASA licence.
n
- A demonstrated ability to perform aircraft and component maintenance, modification and troubleshooting in accordance with regulatory requirements.
n
- Shift work plus available for additional overtime hours when required.
n
- Willingness be involved in occasional heavy base maintenance,
including component repairs as well as standard line maintenance.
n
- A sound knowledge of aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and documentation
n
- Working knowledge of WH&S; procedures
n
- A valid driver’s licence
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
- A high level of motivation with a team-focused work ethic
n
- Meet the necessary requirements to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card and Airside Driving Licence.
n
Preferred Selection Criteria:nn
- SAAB 340 B1 and B2 licence highly desirable
n
- Experience on transport category aircraft Line maintenance operations experience
n
- Holding of other aircraft type ratings will be an added advantage
n
