Join Trippas White Group at Australian War Memorial and take a hands‑on role in delivering quality food, supporting the kitchen team and keeping service running smoothly.

This opportunity suits an experienced Sous Chef or a strong Chef de Partie ready to take the next step. You’ll work closely with the Executive Chef, contribute ideas and lead by example in a busy kitchen.

The Role: n

- Support the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations, preparation and service.
n
- Maintain consistent standards of food quality, presentation and portion control.
n
- Lead, train and support chefs, apprentices and kitchen staff.
n
- Assist with menu development, ordering, stock control and waste reduction.
n
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.
n
- Take responsibility for the kitchen in the Executive Chef’s absence.
n




- Work closely with front‑of‑house and events teams to deliver a smooth guest experience.
n

About You: nn
- Experience as a Sous Chef or senior Chef de Partie.
n
- Robust cooking skills and pride in the food you produce.
n
- A calm, organised approach during busy service.
n
- Clear communication and a practical, supportive leadership style.
n
- Sound knowledge of food safety, dietary requirements and allergen management.
n
- An understanding of food costs, stock management and kitchen efficiency.
n
- Australian working rights and availability to meet the venue’s roster requirements.
n
