We’re partnering with a much-loved café in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs to find a warm, hands-on Venue Manager who loves great service and is ready to take real ownership of a busy venue.

With a loyal local following, a buzzing breakfast and lunch trade, and expansion planned for next year, this is an exciting time to join. We’re looking for someone who wants to settle in, build a brilliant team and grow with the business.

And the best part? Day shifts only! Early starts, plenty of energy during service and evenings free for whatever you love outside of work.

The owners have put plenty of heart into this business and are ready to give the right person more responsibility for running it day to day.
You’ll become the person who knows the room, knows the team and keeps everything coming together. Someone who spots what needs doing, follows through and takes pride in the whole venue. You also NEED to know how to work a coffee machine, and have history pumping out coffees.

This role will suit someone excited to take ownership of service, team performance and daily operations, while working closely with the owners on improvements and preparing the business for its next chapter.

What you’ll be doing

- Taking the lead across daily operations and busy breakfast and lunch services
- Being a visible presence on the floor, building relationships with regulars and making current guests feel welcome
- Coaching your team, setting clear expectations and following through on standards
- Managing rosters,



staffing levels and labour costs
- Keeping the floor and kitchen connected so service runs smoothly
- Taking ownership of guest feedback and finding thoughtful solutions
- Bringing ideas, improving systems and making everyday operations stronger
- Working with the owners to support next year’s planned expansion

You’re an experienced Café Manager, Restaurant Manager or Venue Manager who loves being in the thick of service and is ready for a role you can really get behind.

You know how to read a room, keep standards high and bring out the best in your team. You’re warm with guests, clear with staff and comfortable making decisions.

We’d love someone who brings initiative and a sense of ownership — who cares about how the business performs and is excited to help it grow.
Experience with busy service, team development, rostering and labour management is important, along with availability for early starts and weekend day shifts.
