About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on Tank Inspector to join our Tanks team in Canning Vale. You’ll inspect, clean and report on fire and potable water tanks using ROV technology and manual methods, working across commercial, mining and government sites. Reporting to the TTI General Manager, you’ll be the face of Allied Pumps onsite and the person clients rely on to tell them the true condition of their assets.

What you’ll do

- Inspect fire and potable water tanks, identifying defects, corrosion, leaks and compliance issues
- Operate ROV equipment for internal inspections and carry out tank cleaning where required
- Capture video and images and produce clear, accurate reports with maintenance and repair recommendations
- Submit reports within 48 hours of job completion
- Explain findings to facilities managers, site supervisors and contractors
- Work safely under SWMS, JSA, permit and confined space protocols
- Look after ROV and inspection equipment so it’s always job-ready

What you’ll bring

- Experience in a field-based, site or industrial environment (construction, mining, maintenance, utilities or similar)

- Solid safety mindset and experience working in high-risk environments
- Ability to carry out inspections, basic fault finding and condition assessments
- Sharp attention to detail and solid reporting skills
- Confidence dealing with clients onsite
- Physical capability to work in confined and elevated spaces
- Basic IT skills for reporting, image capture and data entry
- Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence, White Card, Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry and First Aid (HLTAID011 or equivalent)

Highly regarded

- Trade qualification (mechanical, electrical, fabrication) or relevant technical background
- Experience in tank inspection, cleaning, water infrastructure or fire compliance services
- Knowledge of AS 1851 inspection and maintenance standards
- ROV or inspection camera experience
- High Risk Work Licence
- Experience in remote, regional or FIFO settings

Why Allied Pumps

- Stable, family-owned WA business with a strong local reputation
- Full training on our ROV and inspection systems
- Varied work across commercial, mining and government sites
- A team that lives its values: Accountable, Loyal, Learning, Innovative, Exceptional, Dedicated
