Full time position Pepe’s Mexican is looking for an experienced and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team at our Jindalee restaurant. Pepe’s Mexican is an established Brisbane restaurant group, serving Mexican-inspired food and drinks across our restaurants.

n

We are looking for a reliable Cook who takes pride in food quality, consistency, hygiene and working effectively as part of a busy kitchen team.

Job Responsibilities n

n
- Preparing and cooking Mexican-inspired dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
n
- Preparing ingredients including meat, vegetables, sauces, marinades and other food components
n
- Cooking food using grills, fryers, ovens, stovetops and other commercial kitchen equipment
n
- Preparing food during service periods efficiently and consistently
n
- Portioning and plating food according to restaurant standards
n
- Monitoring food quality, freshness and presentation
n
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures
n
- Assisting with food preparation and kitchen organisation
n
- Storing food correctly and monitoring stock levels
n




- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen and work area
n
- Minimising food waste and following appropriate stock rotation procedures
n
- Working closely with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth service
n
- Assisting with preparation and cleaning duties as required
n

Requirements nn
- Previous experience working as a Cook in a commercial restaurant or similar environment
n
- Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
n
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
n
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality
n
- Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Good communication and organisational skills
n
- A reliable and positive approach to work
n
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
n
- Relevant qualifications and/or relevant commercial cooking experience will be highly regarded
n
