Plant Operator / Civil Hand - Snowy Mountains n

Girri Birrang is building a small, permanent civil crew in the Snowy Mountains, and we want locals.

n

We’re after an operator who is just as happy with a shovel, a string line or a chainsaw as they are in the seat. Most of the work is around Jindabyne and Cooma, with travel across the Eden-Monaro when the job calls for it.

What you’ll be doing n

n
- Operating excavators, loaders, skid steers, rollers and tippers on civil, earthworks, drainage and site prep jobs
n
- Working off the machine: pipe laying, drainage, fencing, concreting, traffic control, site clean-up
n
- Daily plant pre-starts, basic maintenance and reporting faults early
n
- Reading levels and plans, and doing it right the first time
n
- Working safely and keeping the site tidy
n





What you’ll bring nn
- Solid experience operating earthmoving plant - tickets or VOCs for the machines you run
n
- A can-do attitude to work off the machine
n
- White Card and a current driver licence (HR/MR a plus)
n
- You live in the Snowy region - Jindabyne, Cooma, Berridale or nearby
n
- Happy to travel across the Eden-Monaro when required
n
- Permanent full-time local work - no FIFO, home most nights
n
- Good gear, a small crew and a group that backs its people
