We’re looking for a Safety Continuous Improvement & Capability Advisor to help turn lessons learned across our projects into practical change.

Working across our project portfolio, you’ll take learnings from incidents, investigations and assurance activities and translate them into training, tools and initiatives that improve how our teams work and help prevent repeat incidents.

Snapshot of your current day-to-day

- Work across Kapitol projects as a roaming member of the Safety team
- Partner with our Incident and Governance teams to understand key learnings from incidents and investigations
- Translate those learnings into practical training, guidance and improvement initiatives
- Design, develop and deliver Safety training both face-to-face and online
- Identify capability gaps and training needs across project teams
- Work directly with site teams to embed changes into everyday behaviours and ways of working
- Develop learning material, workshops, briefings and practical tools for different audiences
- Track whether improvement initiatives are being embedded and having the intended impact
- Identify recurring themes and opportunities for broader Safety improvement
- Support continuous improvement of Safety systems, processes and capability across the business

Foundation for your success in the role

- Strong background in Safety, training, capability or continuous improvement within construction or another high-risk environment
- Experience designing and delivering practical Safety training
- Strong understanding of incident investigations, corrective actions and lessons learned




- Ability to translate technical Safety information into clear, engaging and practical learning
- Confident facilitator who can engage everyone from site teams through to senior leaders
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability
- Practical, curious and improvement-focused mindset
- Comfortable working across multiple sites and project teams
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment highly regarded
- WHS qualification highly regarded
- Construction experience strongly preferred
