ROLE – Electrical & Controls Engineer – Water & Wastewater

SALARY - $140,000 - $160,000 per annum, dependent on experience

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – Adelaide, SA

My client provides specialist engineering solutions across the Water and Wastewater sector. They are looking for an Electrical & Controls Engineer with experience in PLC/SCADA programming and the Water industry to join their growing team in Adelaide.

The Electrical & Controls Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

- At least 3 years of experience in Electrical, Controls, Automation or similar Engineering roles
- Experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems and industrial automation
- Experience within the Water, Wastewater or Utilities industry
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, control panels and VSDs
- Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs; and engineering drawings
- Experience with the design, development and implementation of control systems
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline
- Experience supporting projects through design, installation, testing and commissioning




- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team

The Electrical & Controls Engineer role will involve:

- Programming, developing and maintaining PLC and SCADA systems
- Designing and implementing electrical and control solutions for Water and Wastewater treatment systems
- Configuring instrumentation, control panels, VSDs and associated equipment
- Reviewing electrical drawings, schematics, P&IDs; and technical documentation
- Supporting the integration of automation and control systems across projects
- Troubleshooting and resolving electrical, instrumentation and control system issues
- Working with internal teams, suppliers and clients throughout project delivery
- Supporting system testing, commissioning and on-site implementation
- Preparing and maintaining technical documentation
- Working within a collaborative, growing engineering team on a variety of projects
