Our client is a national firm with a Sydney CBD construction and infrastructure practice. It is looking for an Associate or Senior Associate to join a partner-led team advising on complex projects at the procurement and contract-formation stage.

This is a permanent full-time role for a lawyer with at least 4 PAE experience who wants to run their own file load, work alongside experienced development and project managers, and help develop the junior solicitors around them.

About the role

Front-end work shapes a project's contract before problems arise, and that is where you will spend your time.

• Advising developers, contractors and government on procurement and contract formation for complex projects
• Drafting and negotiating construction and infrastructure contracts across a range of industry sectors
• Working with experienced development and project managers from the outset of each project
• Managing your own file load while delegating tasks effectively




• Mentoring more junior solicitors, with a level of autonomy suited to your experience

What you'll bring

• At least four years' post-admission experience (4+ PAE)
• Demonstrated front-end construction experience
• The ability to manage a file load autonomously and delegate effectively
• Excellent written skills and the ability to explain legal concepts in plain English
• A can-do approach and a team player mindset
• Admission to practise in Australia with a current practising certificate
