TIACS COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT LEAD
Professional relationship collector wanted.
If your message requests regularly start with "great meeting you", we should probably talk.
TIACS is Australia's Home of Blue-Collar counselling. Free professional support for tradies, truckies, farmers, apprentices, blue-collar workers and the people that care about them. No waitlists, no referrals, no cost, no bull s**t.
We're looking for another Community Engagement Lead to help build the relationships, partnerships and community connections that keep TIACS growing and thriving. This isn't a traditional community engagement role. You're not sitting behind a desk sending the occasional email and calling it stakeholder engagement. This is a role for someone who enjoys meeting people, building trust and spotting opportunities. Someone who can confidently walk into a conference, a field day, an industry event, a community gathering or a boardroom and leave with meaningful connections, new ideas and a few opportunities worth following up.
YOU'RE PROBABLY SOMEONE WHO:
- Enjoys meeting people and building genuine relationships
- Remembers names and follows through
- Spots opportunities others miss
- Is comfortable representing an organisation in a room full of strangers
- Loves variety and doesn't want to be tied to a desk
- Understands that the best partnerships usually start with a conversation
- Has experience in,
or strong connections across, industries such as construction, agriculture, transport, logistics, mining or other blue-collar sectors
- Already has a few contacts in their phone who would actually answer when they see your name pop up
- Knows how to build credibility quickly, whether you're talking to a business owner, site supervisor, industry leader or community stakeholder
THE DETAILS
1. Permanent full-time role
2. Brisbane-based
3. Market-competitive salary + super + salary packaging + fully maintained company vehicle, including fuel and associated travel costs
4. Is willing and able to undertake regular travel throughout Australia
Before you hit send, take a look at the TIACS and TradeMutt websites. Get a feel for who we are. If you read it and think “that’s the kind of work I want to be part of” - we’d like to hear from you.
In your cover letter, tell us about a time you opened a door that wasn't open before. What did you do, what happened and why did it matter?
We're less interested in jargon, job titles and buzzwords. We're interested in how you build relationships, create opportunities and turn conversations into meaningful outcomes. Show us why you're the person we should be talking to.
Send your resume and a cover letter (one page max) to *****@tiacs.org
