What you can expect in a day in this role:

Are you an experienced security professional looking to take the next step in your career? This is an exciting prospect to expand your leadership capabilities, broaden your operational experience, and develop valuable skills across both Security and Surveillance in a dynamic and professional environment.

As a Senior Security Officer, you’ll receive comprehensive training and mentoring to prepare you for greater responsibility, including overseeing security operations during shifts and developing surveillance competencies. This role is designed for individuals who are motivated to grow, lead by example, and play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Following the successful completion of training and competency assessments, your primary position will be Senior Security Officer. You will also have the opportunity to further enhance your skills by undertaking additional duties as a Security & Surveillance Shift Manager and Surveillance Operator when required.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:





- Supporting the Security & Surveillance Shift Manager to meet operational and business requirements each shift
- Providing guidance and support to Security Officers
- Patrolling the property and engaging with customers
- Acting as a first responder to incidents
- Managing incidents calmly and confidently, including conflict resolution when required
- Ensuring property rules, procedures and security requirements are followed
- Working collaboratively with law enforcement when required
- Completing incident reports and other security documentation
- Providing great customer service and leading by example

What you will bring to the role:

You’ll be someone who enjoys taking on responsibility and supporting others, while maintaining a calm, approachable and professional presence.

We’re looking for someone who has:

- Experience in security and crowd control
- Proven leadership, decision-making and conflict resolution skills in a regulated environment
- A strong customer service focus and the ability to lead by example
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Current Security Guard, Crowd Control and unrestricted driver’s licences
- Basic computer skills and confidence using standard systems




- The ability to obtain and maintain a Tasmanian Security Gaming Licence at your own expense
- A Monitoring Room Operator Licence, or the ability to obtain one
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, including Advanced Resuscitation, as well as RSA and RCG, or the ability to obtain these
- Flexible availability to work across a 24/7 rotating roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays
