Challenger Services Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable professional looking to further develop their accounting expertise within a growing national organisation.

You'll gain exposure to a broad range of accounting functions while working closely with Finance, Operations, suppliers, and customers to support the day-to-day financial operations of the business.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Accounts Officer, you'll be responsible for:

- Processing supplier invoices and supporting accounts payable activities.
- Raising customer invoices and supporting accounts receivable functions.
- Processing procurement orders and maintaining accurate records.
- Allocating and posting daily bank receipts and payments.
- Performing vendor and customer account reconciliations.
- Following up outstanding customer balances and resolving account queries.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers regarding financial matters.
- Assisting with reporting, financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with company procedures.

About You

You'll be someone who:

- Has 5+ years' experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or a similar accounting role.
- Possesses solid Microsoft Excel skills.
- Has experience working with ERP or accounting systems.




- Is analytical, organised, and detail-oriented.
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Enjoys problem-solving and finding practical solutions.
- Is self-motivated and able to manage competing priorities.
- Works well independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Is eager to continue learning and developing their accounting career.
