The Procurement Officer is responsible for coordinating and centralising the procurement of goods and services across Mountain Blue Farms. The role ensures approved requirements are researched, sourced and ordered at the right quality, cost and time, with clear purchase orders, reliable delivery follow-up and complete records.

The position supports farm operations, nursery and R&D; activities, packing and warehouse operations, maintenance, WHS, transport and capital projects. It provides a single, responsive procurement point while working within the company's approval authorities and procurement procedures, with a strong focus on consolidating purchasing volumes, improving supplier performance and achieving sustainable value for the business.

What you’ll do

- Be the single procurement point for our farms, nursery, R&D;, packing, warehouse, maintenance and project teams.

- Source products and suppliers, get quotes, and issue accurate purchase orders within approved budgets.

- Track orders, chase critical deliveries and sort out shortages, substitutions and invoice discrepancies.

- Build and maintain our supplier register, and negotiate pricing, freight, lead times and terms.

- Find savings by combining orders across sites, consolidating suppliers and setting up preferred-supplier arrangements.

- Report on spend, open orders,



savings and supplier performance.

What you’ll bring

- Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or inventory.

- Strong Excel skills and experience with purchasing, ERP or finance systems.

- Sound commercial judgement and negotiation skills.

- Good organisation and follow-through across competing priorities.

- High integrity and a commitment to doing procurement properly.

- A current Australian driver licence, and willingness to travel to our sites and suppliers.

- Experience in agriculture, horticulture, food production or another multi-site workplace is preferred.

- Knowledge of horticultural inputs (packaging, chemicals, fertilisers, irrigation, machinery parts) is preferred.
