The Role

Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you’ll build on your existing mechanical skills while progressing towards completing your trade qualification.

Based on a mining site in Central West NSW, you’ll assist with servicing, maintenance and repairs to vehicles, plant and equipment. This is an opportunity to gain valuable site experience and develop your diagnostic and repair skills in a supportive team workplace.

Responsibilities

- Assist with servicing, maintenance and repairs to vehicles, plant and equipment
- Support tradespeople with fault finding and mechanical repairs
- Carry out inspections and report faults or maintenance requirements




- Develop your skills in mechanical, hydraulic and related systems
- Follow site safety procedures and maintain a tidy work area
- Continue your required trade studies and apprenticeship assessments

About You

- Currently undertaking the 3rd or 4th year of a mechanic apprenticeship
- Committed to completing your trade qualification
- Interested in working with vehicles, plant and equipment in a mining environment
- Reliable, willing to learn and able to follow instructions
- Focused on safety and quality workmanship
- Available to work a 9-day fortnight on a mining site in Central West NSW.
