Queensland Rigging Hire Pty Ltd based in Willawong provides specialist rental of rigging, hoisting and load testing equipment across SEQ and beyond to a diverse customer base that includes construction, mobile crane, port/maritime, engineering and civil construction sectors.

We are seeking the right person for the role of Workshop Supervisor to join our team leading the operations of our factory with pre-hire order picking, local transport, off hire inspections, rental fleet records keeping and assisting the operations team to ensure a consistent service delivery to our customers.

Ideally you will have recent experience within the equipment hire industry and/or lifting/rigging equipment knowledge but what is more important is your personality, willingness to learn new skills and the ability to work autonomously.

The Role

Based in Willawong, this role supports our operations team by ensuring clients get the equipment they need, when they need it. This role is busy and varied, but here is a snapshot of what to expect:

- Work with and task warehouse staff to accurately prepare equipment for collection/dispatch

- Supervise loading of company delivery vehicles and external transport

- Conduct local deliveries at peak times as required

- Assist customers with collections and returns

- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment

- Conduct off hire inspections and record findings

- Quarantine non-conforming rental fleet for further inspection/repair/service

- Schedule the planned external certification of rental fleet with contractors and third parties





- Update certification documents and next dates due of rental fleet documents in asset management platform.

- Electronic filing of rental asset documentation in ERP

- Answer incoming telephone calls

What we are looking for - Must Haves

- Forklift licence

- Truck Licence (Company is willing to assist)

- Better than average office skills with email, MS word, SharePoint

- Ability to learn ERP system (Point of Rental)

- Good with basic hand tools

- The ability to work in a fast paced working environment whilst maintaining accuracy

- You are willing to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.

- You have the legal right to work in Australia on a permanent basis.

What we are looking for – Nice to Have

- First Aid Certificate

- Knowledge of Australian Standards applicable to lifting & rigging equipment

- Experience in an industry related to rigging, lifting, or height safety.

- Experience in the equipment hire industry.
