ABM Contractors is seeking experienced Underground Coal Operators with secondary support and ventilation experience for long-term work. Offering $72/hr, permanent full-time employment and a 7/7 roster, these positions are suited to experienced operators looking for consistent work, competitive pay and long-term opportunities.

We're looking for capable, safety-focused operators with proven experience in both secondary support and ventilation works who can contribute to a reliable and productive underground crew.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

- Demonstrated secondary support and/or ventilation experience in an underground black coal mine




- Experience installing secondary strata-support systems and undertaking underground ventilation works
- Current Standard 11 – Underground and Surface
- Current underground coal competencies relevant to the position
- Current Coal Mine Workers' Health Scheme medical assessment, or ability to obtain one
- Ability to complete drug and alcohol screening within 14 days prior to induction
- Current Australian working rights
- Availability to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts

- Demonstrate strong safety awareness and risk-management behaviours
- Are competent operating equipment relevant to secondary support and ventilation works
- Take a reliable, practical and productive approach to their work
- Work well within an underground crew and follow site procedures
