Earthmoving Plant Operator
Operates machinery, including loaders, excavators, graders, rollers, skid steers, and dozers, to prepare road bases and work areas.
Cuts, levels, trims, and compacts surfaces to required tolerances before bitumen application.
Removes existing pavement, soil, and debris to prepare sub‑grade and base layers.
Loads and unloads aggregate, gravel, and road‑base materials for asphalt production and site works.
Shapes shoulders, drains, verges, and embankments to engineering specifications.
Works closely with spray‑seal and asphalt crews to ensure surfaces are ready for primer, tack coat, and bitumen application.
Maintains proper moisture levels and compaction to support bitumen adhesion.
Helps position trucks, sprayers, and pavers for an efficient workflow.
Clears loose material, trims edges, and ensures a clean, reliable surface for sealing.
