Full time Chef required for The Silver Linings at 53 Batesford Rd, Chadstone, VIC 3148

The Silver Linings is currently seeking a qualified full-time chef to join our team at 53 Batesford Rd, Chadstone, VIC 3148. We are looking for someone who is creative, organised, passionate and experienced in Modern Australian Cuisine.

The job description for the chef is as follows, and it is not an exhaustive list:

· Menu planning, estimating food and labour costs.

· Preparing and cooking menu items.

· Training and supervision of apprentices and less experienced staff.

· Adhering to, explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations.

· Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.

· Delegation of tasks to other team members.

· Supervise Cooks and assist as needed.

· Monitor food stock and place orders.





Requirements:

· Qualifications in commercial cookery (Cert IV or higher)

· Minimum 1 year of experience in the commercial kitchen

· Versatile availability

· Good communication skills

· Ability to work unsupervised and in a team

· Understanding of OH&S; and food hygiene requirements

· Experienced in multi-cuisine.

Salary per year: $ 79,000 - $82,000 plus Super

Pay: $79,000.00 – $82,000.00 per year
