Ocean Mate Marine Services is looking for an experienced, qualified marine mechanic to join our team full-time. This is a role for someone who can run their own jobs, make the calls on the tools, and take real ownership — diesel, petrol and outboard engines, repowers, marine electrical, breakdowns and pre-purchase inspections, at our Coomera workshop and on mobile callouts.

Why you'll like working with us:
Real diesel and repower work — including hands-on Nanni installs you won't find at most shops
A genuine mix of work — outboards, petrol and diesel, so you're never stuck doing the same thing
The autonomy to run jobs your way, backed by a team that trusts your judgement
No two days the same — workshop, on the water, and everything in between
A tight, down-to-earth crew that backs each other and actually enjoys the work
Room to step into a senior/lead role as we grow — and to help shape how the workshop runs
Fair dinkum approach: we look after our people, and we pay a positive mechanic what they're worth

What you'll be doing:
Servicing,

diagnosing and repairing marine diesel, petrol and outboard engines, start to finish
Outboard servicing and repairs across the major brands
Leading repowers and bigger diesel jobs, including Nanni installs
Marine electrical fault-finding and general mechanical work
Running mobile callouts and breakdowns, often on your own
Bringing your experience to the team — and mentoring the younger hands when needed

What we're looking for:
Trade-qualified marine mechanic (or automotive/diesel mechanic with solid marine experience)
Proven hands-on experience across diesel, petrol and/or outboard engines
Someone who can work unsupervised, solve problems, and own the outcome
Pride in your work, a genuine love of boats, and a valuable attitude
Current driver's licence (boat licence a bonus)

Location: Coomera, Gold Coast QLD 4209. Full time.
