Overview

A major global resources/process industry operator is seeking an experienced Procurement & Contracting Manager to support a significant capital projects portfolio across Australia and internationally.

This is a hands-on project procurement and contracting role, focused initially on running multiple large EPC/EPCM tender packages with international contractors. It requires someone who can operate across the full contracting lifecycle, from strategy and tendering through negotiation, award and contract management.

The role sits across procurement, contracting, commercial strategy and project execution support. It is not a narrow procurement role and not a pure post-award contracts administration position.

Key focus areas:
Contracting strategy and procurement planning
Market engagement and tender package preparation
Commercial/technical evaluation coordination
EPC/EPCM tendering and negotiation
Recommendation for award and contract formation
Post-award contract management
Claims, variations, commercial risk and contractor performance
Interface with project,



engineering, legal, operations and contractor teams

The ideal background will include major capital project experience in one or more of:
Oil and gas/LNG
Mining/resources
Chemical processing
Major industrial infrastructure
Energy/process plant projects

Key requirements:
Senior procurement and contracting experience on major capital projects
EPC/EPCM contracting experience across strategy, tendering, negotiation and management
Ability to personally run large and complex tender packages
Solid commercial and contractual judgement
Experience dealing with international EPC/EPCM contractors
Exposure to claims, variations, disputes and contractor performance
Ability to work practically in a lean owner-side setting
Robust stakeholder interface across project, engineering, legal, commercial and operations teams
