We are currently seeking experienced Midwives to join the team in Burnie, TAS, providing high-quality maternity care to women and families across the region.
This is a great prospect to work within a supportive maternity service, utilising your midwifery skills across antenatal, labour and birth, and postnatal care.
Key duties include:
Providing antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care
Supporting women throughout labour and birth
Conducting comprehensive maternal assessments and monitoring
Providing newborn assessments and care
Identifying and escalating clinical concerns when required
Delivering protected, evidence-based and woman-centred care
Supporting breastfeeding and early parenting education
Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and care plans
Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
Supporting positive outcomes for women, newborns and families

Essential Requirements To be considered, you will need:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
Recent midwifery experience in a hospital maternity setting
Robust clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Current mandatory certifications relevant to the role
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Excellent communication and organisational skills
