About the Role

Spartan Group of Companies deliver a variety of cranes across multiple sites, supporting lifts for structural steel, precast, mechanical installations, shutdowns and general construction activities. This role requires strong situational awareness, communication skills and commitment to safe lifting practices.

Key Responsibilities
Safe operation of 25T Franna, 55T, 100T, 130T and 350T mobile cranes
Conduct daily pre-start inspections, logbook entries and defect reporting
Work closely with riggers, doggers and site supervisors to execute lifts safely
Follow lift plans, SWMS, exclusion zones and site safety requirements
Maintain compliance with WHS legislation, Australian Standards and the Mobile Crane Code of Practice
Uphold Spartan GOC's safety culture and qualified standards at all times

About You
High Risk Work Licence – CN, C2, C6, C1 or CO (CO preferred)
Demonstrated experience operating Frannas and slew cranes up to 350T
Current VOCs (or willingness to obtain)




Strong understanding of lift planning, crane charts, radius, wind limits and ground conditions
Ability to work within a team and communicate clearly
Commitment to safe work practices and compliance
Rigging/Dogging qualifications (desirable)
Experience on major projects (desirable)
Familiarity with AS 2550.5 and Mobile Crane COP 2024 (desirable)
