LORG Talent is partnering with an established regional transport business to recruit a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or HGV Technician for a permanent, full time prospect in Western Australia, with potential locations including Karratha, Tom Price and Kalgoorlie.

The role

You will carry out diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance across a varied fleet of trucks, buses, coaches and heavy equipment. Your responsibilities will include:
Servicing and repairing heavy vehicles and equipment
Completing mechanical and electrical diagnostics
Repairing engines, transmissions, braking and suspension systems
Carrying out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance




Completing breakdown repairs and fault-finding
Maintaining accurate job cards and service records
Working safely within regional and resources-sector environments

About you
Australian Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic trade qualification, or equivalent international qualification
For UK and Irish applicants: a relevant City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, IMI or equivalent qualification in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair
Relevant post-apprenticeship experience
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Experience working on heavy vehicles, trucks, buses, coaches or mobile equipment
Current driver’s licence
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
