Mister Hoffman is a busy cafe with a big team and a loyal crowd of regulars, and we're looking for a manager to take the lead.

You'll be the person who makes the place tick. One minute you're behind the machine fixing a grind, the next you're sorting the roster, chatting with a regular or checking in a delivery. If you like a job where no two hours look the same, you'll fit right in.

What the job involves
Running the cafe day to day and keeping every shift on track
Leading a large team: hiring, training, rostering and keeping people happy and motivated
Looking after the coffee. You'll dial in, and set up the machine and grinder to our recipes so every cup tastes right
Ordering stock, dealing with suppliers and keeping waste down
Opening and closing, cash handling and banking
Keeping food safety, hygiene and WHS up to scratch, and making sure the equipment and venue stay clean
Getting to know the regulars,

making newcomers feel welcome and sorting out any customer issues on the spot

What we're looking for

We need someone who has done this before, so you'll need:
2+ years as a barista, with a positive knowledge of beans, dialling in, and programming a machine and grinder to recipes
1+ years in management or equivalent, including leading a large team through training, rostering and day-to-day people stuff
A warm, bubbly personality and a knack for building real relationships with customers
A clean, qualified look and a habit of turning up on time
A genuine love of hospitality
Weekends and public holidays are a must for this role, so please only apply if that works for you.
