The Role A great career opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate to join our national Charities and Purpose-Driven Institutions team based in Sydney. In this role you will be working closely with a highly regarded and leading Partner, Vera Visevic, across a range of matters including:
Drafting complex letters of advice and submissions to the ATO and ACNC;
Arranging tax endorsements/concession for charities;
Providing corporate/governance advice;
Advising on fundraising issues;
Dealing with internal disputes in NFPs;
Drafting constitutions; and
Acting on mergers.

This is an opportunity to provide technical expertise and advice to charities and the Not-For-Profit sector more generally. This is not a pro bono role. Who We Are Looking For The successful candidate will have the following:




Minimum of 5 years' PQE in NFP, charity, corporate, commercial or tax law
Skilled at translating complex legal issues into explicit, actionable advice
Passionate about the NFP and for‑purpose sector
Comfortable managing client relationships and mentoring junior lawyers
Collaborative, pragmatic, and committed to delivering high‑quality work
Solid written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent client service
At least a credit average academic history from a well-respected university.
