Cootamundra Health Service is seeking a Registered Midwife to join the Maternity Ward on a 12-week contract, starting as soon as possible. This is an prospect to provide direct maternity care to women in the local and surrounding communities, supporting them through labour and birth while promoting the wellbeing of mothers and newborns. Based in Cootamundra, NSW, this role offers meaningful clinical work in a healthcare setting committed to quality patient care.
Provide comprehensive maternity care, from antenatal support through labour and postpartum care

Preferred Requirements
Proven experience in a birthing workplace, with demonstrated competence in labour support and delivery care




Solid clinical assessment skills and the ability to recognise and respond to maternal and fetal complications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in supporting women and families during labour
Ability to work collaboratively with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals
Current knowledge of maternity best practice guidelines and evidence-based care standards

Preferred Qualifications
Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA
Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia
Current CPR and emergency resuscitation certification
