IGA Fraser Shores is seeking an Experienced Takeaway Cook to join our deli team in Hervey Bay. This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your culinary expertise in a fast-paced takeaway setting where quality, efficiency and teamwork are paramount.

You will prepare, cook and display a range of fresh and tasty menu items for our hotboxes and self-serve displays catering to our customers' needs. You will be an integral part of our food service operation, offering innovation and creative ideas while ensuring quality products.

Preparing and cooking a range of hot takeaway foods

Preparing salads, sandwiches and other deli items

/n
Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation

/n
Preparing food for busy trading periods

/n
Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are always met

/n
Keeping the kitchen and work areas clean and organised

/n
Monitoring stock, freshness and food waste

/n
Working as part of a friendly and supportive deli team

/n
Serving customers at the hot-food counter and at the registers

/n





About you /n

/n
Has previous experience as a takeaway, deli or commercial cook

/n
Is confident preparing food in a busy, high-volume environment

/n
Has excellent food preparation and cooking skills, showing creativity and initiative

/n
Takes pride in the quality and presentation of their food

/n
Has a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene

/n
Works well under pressure and can manage time effectively

/n
Is reliable, hardworking and has a positive attitude

/n
Can work independently and as part of a team

/n
Is available for early morning or afternoon and evening shifts, as well as weekend work

/n
Supermarket deli or takeaway experience is highly desirable

/n
Friendly and supportive team setting

/n
Varied and interesting work

/n
Prospect to use and develop your cooking skills
