About the job
Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Hope Island, Gold Coast | Part-time or Full-time | Leadership Opportunity
You've spent years becoming a great OT. What would you love to do next?
Maybe you'd like to develop a clinical area you're passionate about. Maybe you're ready to mentor other therapists or take on a leadership role. Or perhaps you just want to do great therapy, with great people, in a workplace you genuinely enjoy.
We're looking for an experienced paediatric OT to join our team at My Therapy Space, Hope Island, and we'd love to hear what you're looking for in your next role.
A little about My Therapy Space
We're an established multidisciplinary paediatric practice with clinics at Hope Island and Burleigh Waters on the Gold Coast. Our Hope Island clinic is a beautiful, light-filled space with six therapy rooms, engaged families and a really positive atmosphere.
But the best part of MTS is the people.
Our team of OTs, speech pathologists, dietitians, psychology and therapy assistants enjoy working together, sharing knowledge, asking questions and helping each other out.
We value clinical excellence, but we also believe work should be fun! There are plenty of laughs, we celebrate the wins and we genuinely enjoy spending time together.
You'll be surrounded by experience
Our Clinical Team Lead is based at Hope Island and is a fabulous OT with 15 years of experience, bringing a wealth of clinical knowledge and support to the team.
Both MTS directors are also speech pathologists who have worked for over 25 years together. We're actively involved in clinical practice and team development, and understand the rewards and challenges of working with children and families.
We love a good clinical discussion, working through complex cases together and learning from each other's experience.
We want you to bring your own ideas
We're not simply looking for someone to take over a caseload.
We'd love an OT who brings experience,
curiosity and their own clinical interests.
Whether you're passionate about sensory processing, emotional regulation, early intervention, complex disability, feeding, functional capacity assessments or another area of OT, we'd love to explore how we could help you develop that interest further.
We're also looking for our next OT Team Lead, so there's an opportunity to step into leadership, mentor other therapists and help shape our OT services if that's something that interests you.
And if leadership isn't your thing? That's absolutely fine too! We value experienced clinicians who simply love being OTs and want to continue developing their clinical skills.
Therapy that makes a difference in real life
Like many paediatric practices, we value family-centred, neurodiversity-affirming and evidence-informed care.
But we're particularly passionate about what that looks like outside the therapy room.
We want parents to better understand their children, feel more confident supporting them and have practical strategies that make everyday life easier.
We invest in team learning, professional development and genuine multidisciplinary collaboration. We're always reflecting, asking questions and looking for ways to do things better.
Salary & advantages
Attractive remuneration package of $117,600–$134,400 including superannuation, PLUS performance bonuses and applicable leave loading.
Equivalent full time base salary of $105,000–$120,000 plus superannuation.
You'll also enjoy:
Paid professional developmentand regular clinical supervision.
Experienced clinical supportfrom our onsite Clinical Team Lead and two clinically experienced directors.
Excellent administrative supportfrom our dedicated Client Care team, allowing you to focus on your clinical work.
Flexible working arrangements, with part-time or full-time opportunities.

Genuine multidisciplinary collaborationwith experienced therapists across disciplines.
A beautiful, well-equipped clinicand a supportive team who enjoy working together.
A strong practice in a changing sector
We know there's uncertainty across allied health, particularly with the ongoing NDIS changes.
While we're certainly not immune to these challenges, we feel positive about the future of MTS.
We've spent years investing in our people, facilities, clinical practice and relationships with families. We have strong foundations, an established multidisciplinary service and a commitment to providing excellent therapy.
We're continuing to invest in our team and services, and we're excited about what comes next.
About you
We're looking for an OT who:
Has current AHPRA registration and solid paediatric experience.
Enjoys working with children and young adults with a range of developmental differences, disabilities and support needs.
Values collaboration with families and other professionals.
Has strong clinical reasoning, communication and organisational skills.
Is confident in their experience but curious and open to learning.
Brings initiative, ideas and a positive approach to teamwork.
Experience in mentoring or clinical leadership would be welcomed but isn't essential.
Come and meet us!
If you're an experienced OT who's been thinking about a change, we'd love to show you around our Hope Island clinic, introduce you to the team and hear what you're looking for.
