About this role
As an Emergency Relief Teacher, you will provide short term teaching support across NT Christian Schools campuses, stepping in when classroom teachers are absent. You will help maintain continuity of learning, create a positive classroom environment and ensure students remain engaged in their learning.
Relief teaching offers flexibility and the prospect to experience different school communities, year levels and learning environments across our network.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering planned learning activities and lessons in line with provided curriculum and classroom instructions.
Creating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment.
Managing classroom behaviour in a positive, respectful and consistent manner.
Building positive relationships with students and supporting their academic, social and emotional development.
Following school policies, procedures and child safety requirements.
Communicating effectively with school leaders, teachers and support staff.
Upholding the Christian values, ethos and mission of NT Christian Schools.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
Appropriate teaching qualifications and current teacher registration, or eligibility for registration in the Northern Territory.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
The ability to adapt quickly to different year levels,



subjects and school settings.
A commitment to student wellbeing, child safety and professional conduct.
A collaborative approach and willingness to work with school staff.
A genuine commitment to the Christian ethos of NT Christian Schools.
